Guys: would this be weird or not?

I saw this boy at a basketball game at my high school. It's pretty small so I knew instantly he didn't go there. Something about him caught my eye though.

Anyways, he came up as a suggested follower on twitter an it's when I realized it was the same kid at the game. So I looked him up on Facebook and added him & he accepted me. Apparently he lives in the town of my school but goes somewhere else. So, we have mutual friends.

His number is posted on fb. Guys, would you find it weird if I texted you? Obviously I would explain myself. I would say I saw him at the game and he looked pretty cool.

Weird or not? I'm a pretty shy girl so if I were to do this, it would be majorly stepping out of my comfort zone. Also, I don't know his age but I know he's one grade below me. Hes Sophomore and I'm a Junior .
