Associates degree in business and marketing and bachelor's degree in public relations?
Do they 2 fit together? I'm going to a community college with limited degree options and business and marketing is the only degree that appealed to me. And I want to get my bachelor's in public relations at a big University. Would this work together well for a career in public relations?

You don't earn a major at community college, university only.

No, just have a liberal arts path at the CC. You use that to transfer to the 4 year and start your business major program. You do not need to earn an associates, just earn the credits required by the 4 year.

Yes, marketing and public relations go hand in hand. For the most part an Associates Degree is just something to put on your resume. Few employers care what my Associates Degrees are in, but I'm proud of them. I worked hard and have nearly perfect GPAs in both of them. For a Bachlors Degree, you will have a major and a minor. I think you should Major in Public Relations and Minor in Maerketing. (You can also dual major...but that's a lot to think about when you're not even in the University yet)

@Paul G: That depends on the school. Generally Community College Associates Degrees are in more broad subject areas, while University Bachlors Degrees are more specific. For instance my Associates Degrees read "Social Studies of History" and "Social Studies of Sociology". While they denote that the emphasis of my studies were in Sociology and History, they are both in the field of Social Studies. Some Community Colleges do have highly specialized programs. For instance, San Antonio College offers a degree in Sign Language and an LVN certification program.
