I'm looking to buy a tablet and can't choose between Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD?
I want a tablet for watching movies, listening to music and using basic apps (twitter etc)
The Kindle Fire HD looks better in terms of size but do either of them support avi files or mp4 Any advice would be great, Thank you Ads |

Ok i reckon non of those get a i pad there are many great apps and there are also lots of choices ( i pad 2 i pad 3 i pad 4 ) or i pad mini there are also lots of choices for cases and protecting its good for watching videos it supports mp4 and you can get movies and music from the i tunes store.
If not go for nexus 7 because it is more reliable then the kindle fire because it has a true androide os and lots of apps But i still think i pad is the best choice however be careful on how you spend ! Ads |

The Nexus is a better general purpose tablet.
The Kindle is mostly controlled to Amazon's whims. Google's whims are to let the user have most or all of the control they want. |

Both devices can handle mp4 format. AVI although is not supported by many devices.
Comments on Kindle Fire HD vs Nexus 7, should help you out on this decision: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3884NBJNPT...afkagrw-20 Nexus 7 is the one with more power while Kindle Fire HD has an edge in movies and video streaming. My preference is Kindle Fire HD because its more leaning towards the movies/youtube and stuff like that which makes it perfect for use. Kindle Fire HD, sales page: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083PW...afkagra-20 Nexus 7, tax included in the price: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008M04...afkagra-20 |
