When you Direct a Tweet (@joeBlow How Are you doing?) is that how you do it? and if so, does it only show up to them? or can everyone see it? thanks.

If you send a direct message to someone it'll only let that one person can see it. If you tell them what you are doing only the people in that are following you on Twitter can see it.
