What is...................................?
Twitter and blogs and stuff like that? I hardly go on the internet, so be nice about it.
And what is Flickr
There's websites to them? I don't think I would trust them.

Go to the website, and why would you not trust websites that are used by thousands of people daily?
Twitter, well, I think is just a waste of time. But it allows folks to stay up to the minute on what other people are doing.

Blogs are online journals. There are some good ones and some bad ones, look for those by topic that you find interesting.

Flickr is a photo sharing website. Place where one can post picture then send a link to a friend so they can see your pictures too. faster than emailing them as an attachment.

I will try to explain, but they're mostly things you have to experience to really understand:

Blogs - These are pretty simple. They're kind of like public journals or diaries. People will create a website where they talk about things that are going on in their life or topics they're interested in or specialize in. For instance, my girlfriend runs a sort of blog (http://www.katevideomixtape.com/ ) where she posts movie clips and other YouTube videos that she finds entertaining in hopes that others (who share her taste in film) will also enjoy them.

Blogs can range from personal day-by-day diaries like you often see on MySpace and sites like that to professional, commercialized sites that are basically editorialized news publications (such as http://www.foxnews.com/blogs/ ).

Flickr - Flickr is pretty simple to explain also. It's a website (http://www.flickr.com ) where you can post digital pictures and artwork to share with friends, family, and the rest of the world. For instance, if you want to share your vacation pictures with your family, rather than emailing them hundreds of pictures and clogging up their inbox, you can simply upload your pictures to Flickr and send a link to your family so they can access them, download them, and print them at their leisure. You can even send pictures directly from your phone to Flickr using mobile internet or MMS messaging.

Twitter - Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/home ) and you will be listed as one of that person's "followers."

Twitter accounts aren't always for "people" for instance, this guy's cat somehow has over 500,000 followers (http://www.twitter.com/plamoni -- shameless self-promotion!
