how do you get your band recognized!?

so,me and my band want to get recognized but we have no idea where to start out. i know we can perform at local cofee shops and bars but how do we get booked there?

I would go and talk to the people who work there, that's your best bet. And if you get a gig, advertise it as much as you can with flyers or by telling your friends, etc. to get as many people to come as possible. Also, if you and your band really want to get serious you might also want to make a Facebook/Twitter/YouTube account because the internet is where the people are. xx
