Ok so my twitter is currently locked, i don't know why but I logged on and it said locked please explain?

Ok, so just like a reguIar day logged on to twitter, it said that I needed to reset my password, and when I sent it to my email it said can't be set, account locked for 1 hour' so I got off and waited 1 hour, I came back and logged on and it said the same thing! I went to the help page and it said in quote: 'Disable your third-party applications, like Tweet-deck, Hoot-suite, widgets, etc.
Wait an hour.
After an hour has passed, check to confirm that you can sign in successfully at https://twitter.com/login. If you can't remember your password, you can request a new password here.
If you don't receive a password reset email and still cannot remember your password, please read this help article for troubleshooting tips. So what is third-party applications,Tweet-deck, Hoot-suite, etc. and how do I get rid of it ? I'm on google chrome so i don't know if that will effect something but the help is really needed thank you.

maybe it's referring to browser extensions? have you tried a different browser?

you might also want to check your browser for malicious extensions
