It seems depression in teens and young adults is worse then ever. Why is that?

I think people these days are less resilient to things, and have no common sense. They are also incapable of making their own decisions and are too swayed by things they see celebs doing etc.

for example those people self harming because of that twitter trend.

I think people need to go back to taking things on the chin. If someone calls you fat, oh well, big deal just laugh it off and carry on. But no, people tend to take things to seriously. if someone calls you fat there is no need to be depressed about your weight, and if you're concerened then hit the gym.

Its not sillyness but it could be avoided with a stiff upper lip (and yes im british)

Because, while they're getting an education, they look at the world and realise that some retards still can't string a coherent sentence together and confuse 'then' with 'than'.

It might only appear that it's more common these days, because in the "old days", it was something people swept under the rug rather than talked about openly.

As the state grows it sucks the individuality out of its slaves and kills the inner life. In the future if you want a wholesome rich human existence join the political class.

Some say the vaccinations are to blame, some say our species has seen it's best years and it's all over but the lamentations, some just look at what we've done to the world and get depressed. (wouldn't you)

its because families don't really care about each other anymore. you don't see this stuff in third world countries. in poor countries people have to stick together.

in rich countries, both parents have to work and don't have time to spend with their kids. they kick them out as soon as they are 18. you work until are old and then you go to a retirement home. there is no sense of community anymore.

people don't really live normal lives anymore. it sounds corny but love is an essential part of life and creating normal person. parents act like they care but they are emotionally unavailable. and now its not even cool to be in a relationship. so people just live like zombies, just going through the motions. i am not even surprised when people flip out. to me its normal to flip out when you live in such a sick world.
