The Indian Stock Market has a T+2 Settlement system. This means that the stocks bought or sold gets settled by the Stock Exchange on T+2 basis.
T is the date of the transaction being executed in the market. T+2 Days denote two working days from the transaction date Kindly note that this settlement system is between the Broker and the Stock Exchange. Hence, If you buy a share through a broker, the shares reach the brokers account on T+2 basis. Typically, these shares will reach your account from the broker (subject to payment of money required therefor) on T+2 or T+3 ----- Fundu Vishy - Your 'Mutual' Friend Follow me on twitter @funduvishy I blog @ http://blog.powermf.com Ads |
