Please be real. What does this mean?

I dated a guy last year that I realized later wasn't that great of a guy. He was sarcastic and insensitive and never really made me want to be a better person, although he wasn't horrible to me, he was mean a few times. After our mutual breakup, I was devastated. Completely heartbroken. Couldnt eat for a month. And no matter how hard I tried remaining friends, he never talked to me after that. That was almost a year ago, and it took me a WHILE to get over him. Anyway I recently tweeted him saying we can't follow each other on twitter unless we actually are friends. I wasn't expecting him to reply. But he texted me and basically wants to hang out next time I'm in town. Help! Why do you think he wants to hang out again and what do I do to make him wish he had me back but also make it clear that I'm not interested. And how do I keep from falling for him again??? serious answers please. And even a guys advice will be appreciated.

Ok , I am 45 and have been in several relationships , he has hurt you emotionally . You say no and forget about him or he WILL hurt you again . I am speaking from experience . I never give anyone the chance to hurt me again . i used to , no more !
