My friend is 56 years old and thinks that celebrities friend him on Facebook. Why is he so nieve?

I have a friend who is 56 years old. He plays in a rock band locally. So today he goes "Keith Richards and Mick Jagger have heard my stuff on Facebook and they really like what they are hearing."

I then said to him that Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are not on Facebook man. They use twitter if they use anything at all. Why is my friend so Nieve in thinking that these celebrities are talking to him on Facebook?
They also accepted my friend request. Thats how I know they are not real. I have checked out these facebook pages of theirs. They are fake and my friend thinks they are real lol
