Social justice in Switzerland?
hi guys. i am an american guy currently living in New York. I am planning to move to elsewhere in the world where there is social justice. I know that Switzerland is a good country to live in. My question to Swiss people is: Is there any social justice in Switzerland, is there keeping up with joneseses phenomenon in Switzerland, do ordinary Swiss people live with dignity or do only rich people and politicians and their relatives live a good life? need your answers, especially native Swiss

I'm sad to hear that you feel the need to move out of your own country to find social justice.

That term can be placed on any of the 35 OECD countries, USA included. The legal system is equal for all, but the one with the most money for the richest lawyer always wins. Same everywhere, Switzerland included.

Keeping up with joneses is not so much of an issue in Switzerland. It is a well established country where you are compensated on your skills and value in the job-market. There is no need to show off. Just your job-title says enough.

All Swiss people live with dignity. There is a salary system that compensates all working people well, you cannot be poor if you have a job. There is a social safety net to look after the unfortunate ones who need it.

Rich people live well everywhere in the world, so there can be no specific answer regarding Switzerland for that.

To get ahead in Switzerland you need a stellar education and a clean work record.

Too bad that you, as an American probably never can go there to live. All immigration is, for all practical purposes stopped now and may remain so for the next foreseeable future.
