Get yourself a modern Bible and start with the Gospels.

Why should I bother to prove to you that Astrology is true or not?
If you believe in it and take counseling or guidance from a learned Vedic astrologer and if it does you good, you would be okay.
If you do not believe in it, well, its your choice.
There are remedies to overcome difficulties in life in Astrology. No one can change destiny (Brahma Likhitham). But if you follow a remedy suggested, if you are fated to see a snake, you will see an earthworm instead of a cobra.

What would you accept as proof? Independent tests? If there are any, they will be found easily on the web. Problem is astrology has never passed testing. Unlike the rest of the world, astrology in India is a science by law. Everywhere else it is magical thinking.
