How can somebody find you on twitter?

I have a new twitter account and nobody can find me. I have even googled myself and tried to find myself on twitter but can't! My friend has sent me a tweet when I gave her the link, but how can people find me? i use my real name on twitter but people cannot find me what am I doing wrong?

People can always go to twitter.com/yourname such as twitter.com/reneeinspired

Also, put your name in your description.
Also, if you have a website link to your website.

You can also put your twitter link on facebook, youtube, G+ and finally send out an email to all of your friends.

You would need to give your friends your twitter username or email address. They should be able to search for you that way. If this does not work, there is a problem with your account and you need to contact Twitter.
