There are two 8.9" models a Kindle HD WiFi and a Kindle HD 4G.
To get Internet on a WiFi model you must have a WiFi connection to the Internet. This could be a wireless router at home or a public WiFi hotspot. The 4G model can get Internet anywhere there is cellular service (At&t). It costs $50 per year for 250 MB per month of cellular service. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008GFR...le_dp_comp Good Luck... Ads |

Yes you can. I have it, and the internet is AWESOME and so fast.
You can also get a data plan (verizon, at&t etc.) which you can pay for. I recommend you just use the WI-FI or internet. Thanks! |

Yes sure, you can get to any website on the internet on the Kindle Fire.
If you're in the UK, you'll be interested on this actual user review as well, talking about browsing experience and what apps to get in the U.K.: http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/R39422Q0K...g=kdmsr-21 Hope that helps. |
