What Smartphone would you recommend/advise me to get?
Hi, so the screen on my own phone is completely smashed and i want to get a new phone and i just need some help in picking out a phone.

I'm a college student so can't be too expensive...
anyway i'm looking for something with a good music player, good camera, one that apps like facebook, twitter and instagram work well on, fast wifi - the usual kind of stuff people like me use.
i'm just wondering is the iphone really the best phone to pick? i'd have to get the iphone 4s and borrow money off my parents to buy it though, and i'd rather try and save some of my christmas money...
the other phones i have in mind are the htc windows phone 8s, iphone 4, samsung galaxy mini, xperia t, lumia 800, sony Xperia Go ST27i, xperia j, lumia 900, samsung galaxy beam, xperia p and samsung s2..
i know there's a lot there but i really can't go over €400, ideally i would rather stay around €300 but at the same time i'd like the phone to last me over a year or more...thanks
the iphone 5 would cost me €679 to buy which i don't have that money at all Sad

I have an iPhone 4 its a good phone but the memory ( for app's etc.) sucks and you can't put a micro sd card in it for more memory so i would recommand a samsung galaxy model
(Almost the same as the iphone but more advanced)

Samsung galaxy s2 or s2 skyrocket with contract theyre really cheap but they work great Smile
Awesome camara 8mp
The apps u mentioned work great on it
More options to personalize
Cool features
If u get the skyrocket its a better screen in my opinion
And the iphone is overrated and boring u cant do much on it its been the same for a while now but if u get the 4s its practically the 5 just a smaller

I think you'd better omit Xperia J, Galaxy mini and Galaxy S2 from your list. Xperia J is so laggy. Galaxy S3 mini is an overpriced S2 and S2 is queit old right now. Then you have to decide which OS you are going to like better. If you prefer iOS then you'd be better with iphone 4s because soon apple is going to stop supporting iphone 4 and iphone 5 is expensive. If you want a WP device then under €400 you can get htc windows phone 8s or lumia 900. Lumia 900 has many problems like limited memory(16GB with no microSD slot), older OS compared with htc's and its performance is not as good as htc Windows Phone 8s on the other hand 8s camera is not so good and it doesn't have secondary camera. There are lots of devices in android category. The best one you can get within your budget is Nexus 4. It has the best performance screen and camera but it has some problems which are deal breaker for some people like really poor battery life and 16GB limited storage the back of the device gets warm when performing heavy tasks and it's already not in stock in Europe so you should wait for some times to get your phone. You can also choos Xperia P. It's performance and screen is not even comparable with Nexus 4 and it also have limited memory like Nexus 4 but battery life is better and camera is also good the best part is it's on sale on Amazon for around £200. You can get Xperia T for around €430. Its performance is close to Nexus 4 but Nexus 4 has newer OS. Xperia T has a really good camera for shooting pohotos(not videos), battery life is fine, you can add 32GB of external storage and it looks pretty but the button placement is not good if you are right handed and the video shooting is not so good. Xperia go is the only waterproof phone in your list.

get the lumia 900
amazing build quality it just feels high end and premium in your hand and it’s very durable
it’s made from a single piece of polycarbonate and it’s also made in a way that for example if you buy the cyan version and you scratch or hit it the color after that would stay cyan
the screen is a 4.3″ amoled screen with Nokia clear black display so that means colors and text look amazing on it and that also means you can easily see in direct sunlight so you won’t have to higher the screen brightness
the camera is an 8 megapixle camera which takes amazing photos and videos
it has Carl Zeiss optics and it also has the Nokia added features like group shot, panorama shot and burst shot
what group shot allows you to do is to capture the perfect moment so for example if you are taking a photo of 2 people and you blink you will be able to rewind the time till when they were still smiling
the web browser is extremely good and very fast
the phone handles mail in a very good way
you’ve got a huge number of high quality apps and you also got the Nokia added free exclusive apps like Nokia drive,Nokia maps,Nokia city,Nokia lens,Nokia beta,Nokia music,Nokia creative studio, espn, espn radio,CNN,viber HD. and many more
battery life on the phone is very good and would easily get you through a full day of heavy use on a full charge
the whole os on the phone is amazing and it runs smooth and fast and it’s also faster in everyday use than iOS and android
hope I helped Smile
tell me if you decided to get it
and if you have any question you can email me at spieleranswers@outlook.com
