How do i add facebook to lg optimus v?

I just bought a lg optimus v from virgin mobile. I am having trouble syncing facebook to the phone. There is no facebook widget or icon out of the box and when i go to add account there is only giving me the option to add a google account or corporate mail. Help plzzz

Go to the marketplace and download the facebook app.. log into that, then go to settings from the main phone screen and go to accounts and sync
