How can i have more energy during school?
I know i dont exactly get to bed that early, but even when i go to bed hours earlier than normal, i am ALWAYS exausted during the school day, it seems to affect me more socially than with my schoolwork, i can focus on my work fairly well, but at places like lunch im just so tired, and it makes me seem anitsocial, and believe me i am NOT anti-social, but being exausted makes me seem like it.. so what can i do? i ussually get something to eat for breakfast, like a cereal bar or a fruit smoothy, but im not that hungry in the moring, so what can i do? thanks in advance!

Getting some vigorous exercise before you spend a day sitting down is what a lot of people do to get their system going for the day. Walking to school was good for me as a kid.

theres a lot of things you can do to avoid the 2 o'clock feeling (and I'm not talking about 5 hour energy drink). here's a useful website, but i will share with you some common ones to perform.
http://zenhabits.net/55-ways-to-get-more-energy/ -exercise. Walk/run/lift weights/play sports. Activities will not only keep your body healthy, but open up those dopamine and norepinephrine receptors in your neurons which can help you stay alert and increase muscle, brain, heart, etc. activity. Exercising also helps you sleep peacefully because your body recovers efficiently. You wake up feeling relaxed and with plenty of energy. -Sleep. Not much to say here, but, sleep at least 7 to 8 hours a day. No oversleeping!! This just makes you lazy. -Get plenty of sunshine, at least 10 minutes baking in the sun. Your skin absorbs Vitamin D which is important for calcium and phosphate. Phosphate is an important inorganic chemical for chemical energy. In metabolism, the kreb cycle breaks down glucose and out comes ATP. Phosphates are essential for this process. -drink water. Water is super useful in staying hydrated. Stay away from soda, energy drinks, and super sugary foods. Too much sugar and B vitamins can overload your brain and cause 'the crash.' -eat a larger and healthier breakfast. You mentioned that you eat a cereal bar and a fruit smoothy. That's a great start. However, incorporate eggs, whole wheat toast with natural peanut butter (not the skippy or Jiff crap, get Trader Joes brand or whatever health food market you have), OJ, fruits like berries (cause they have antioxidants and promote brain function, especially blueberries), milk, you get the picture. A healthy breakfast prepares you for the day, (many studies have shown). |
