It really depends on how many you want, what you are looking for and how much time you have on your hands. If your looking for a few hundred followers and dont mind raising the amount that you follow I suggest twiends.com. The only downside to this site is that you aquire way too many people that you follow and the amount of followers you get always decreases dramatically, leaving you with next to none in a week or so. Add to the fact that Twitter usually bans users that use this site.

On the other hand "buying followers" is just as bad. Most are bots and dissappear fast.

I know you had mentioned you wanted them for free however In my personal opnion I like purchasing accounts that already have so many thousand followers becasue you know the followers are real and you can change the username and password to whatever you want. You basically just take over the account.
