Is there a chance in the canadian labor market?
I have read Canadians do not give a chance to professional
immigrants to get jobs in their field of expertise.

I always new Canada was a friendly, cultural and open society but
I have read websites as notcanada.com and canadaimmigrants.com where they paint the Canadian Market
as racist and local. Using words as "Canadian Experience"
and "Regulated Professions" Canada denies job to a lot
of people.

I suppose if you apply for an executive corporate job "Canadian Experience" is important but I was wondering about other clerical
jobs is it the same?

Also seems than in Europe and USA the IT market is always open
would be the same case in Canada or is it ruled for the same trends mentioned above?

Any comments?

As in pretty much any society, we prefer to give jobs to experience Canadian workers before people new to the country. Also some countries don't have the same standards when licensing their professional ie. Doctors, lawyers, engineers.

My opinion is that, neither discrimination or credential evaluation is the problem. Problem is simpler in that sense, that is just lack of enough opportunities.

I dont know if it is an official thing, but companies do tend to hire home grown talent more often. In many things it is who you know rather than what you know too.

I dont think hiring people that are from Canada rather than elsewhere is a reflection on how friendly we are. It has to do with education standards, professional standards etc. It is providing a job to the people here because we have government departments such as Social Assistance and Employment Insurance which Canadians have paid taxes to support and they dont want citizens here to have to rely on those, or they would collapse.

I think it just boils down to looking after one's own first. That can be taken as selfish or practical.
