Could a website like this exist?

Could it be possible to make a site that scans all tweets and Facebook Status for key words like "kill myself" and "jump off a bridge" and other suicidal words and when it detects a suicidal phrase it would automatically e-mail the people's FB friends and Twitter followers telling them their friend might be in trouble? Is this concept technically possible, and what could be some downsides? Could this save lives?

It could be possible, but it would take so long to sift through all of the tweets and facebook statuses out there that it probably wouldn't be practical. Also there would be a lot of privacy issues because you are asking to have access to everybody's information all of the time.
