How do you gain more tumblr followers?

i've had a tumbr for a while .-.
its confusing, how do i follow people/ check them? idek sorry if i sound old .__.

You could start by following blogs you like, sometimes they follow back.

The main way you'll get followers is by posting things, and interacting with people. Your blog will go unnoticed if you don't get your name out there! Also ask your friends if they have tumblrs.

I would totally follow you! But I'll warn you right now, if you decide to follow back... I have a terrible sense of humor and reblog strange things. ^_^

-To start off have a nice,neat, unique layout to your blog
-If you make any posts tag them, that'll let people find your blog
-Follow blogs similar to yours and they will follow back if they like your blog
-Follow the blogs that have a lot of followers
-Be original. Try posting your own pictures
-Try to post similar things or have a theme to your blog
-Be nice to your followers and the people you follow. I usually thank all my new followers and send messages to the blogs I like
-Try joining networks. They will get you followers. Although you usually have to have a theme to your blog for you to join a network
-You can always use tumblr plug, but that rarely works
-You can do follow for follow, or promos. Check out people's blogs that have a lot of followers. They will usually have a FAQ saying if they promote people or not. I remember one girl who had a lot of followers promoted me and I got 15-20 new followers
