Whats your opinion on social networking sites and work?
Do you think its ok to have your boss and other co-workers on your friends list on sites such as facebook, myspace, twitter etc? For example say you are out partying on the weekend with your friends and want to post drunken funny pics of yourself, your boss might see it and think its unprofessional. Do you think its a good idea or not.

No, and for exactly that reason, haha. But if they friend request you and you don't accept you're screwed. You could make two, one for regular friends, and one for your boss, coworkers, and stricter members of the family.

Nope. I think it's a good idea to keep work and Facebook separate. If your boss and coworkers want to connect with you via a social media site, then set up a Linkedin account and connect them there. You can politely say that your Facebook & Myspace circles are just for close friends and family and that you don't want to mix your personal and professional worlds. Twitter can be tougher just because it's harder to maintain privacy there...good luck!

Unless you and your boss are chummy buddies that 'chill' with each other on the weekends then NO. Because what if your a party animal and the pictures on Facebook prove it...then one day your sick and when you call in the boss thinks you might be lying?
BUT, if the boss adds you on facebook, simply block him, so your still his friend as far as he can tell but he won't recieve any updates from you!

not a good idea at all! One day I got really mad at a co-worker and I stupidly ranted on FB (but i didn't use any names. just said "co-worker", and of course I was friends with my bosses and other co-workers (but not the one I was mad at). Long story short..I was fired.

Some of my coworkers put the 2 bosses on their FaceBook, but not I. I leave them out. Not trying to be rude, but keep a little distance. And yes I am always friendly and professional to them. But I ain't inviting them over for dinner either. Like em both, but need my space.
