This guy and I are only friends, so why lie that he is single?!?

this guy friend of mine knows I am single, he sometimes flirts with me.. and I know he used to like me, but we are just friends and nothing more.
He tells me he is single and there is this girl interested in him but he doesn't want to be in a relationship with her.. but I found out he lied and is actually got a gf (yes my sources are very accurate) I just don't understand why he just not tell the truth and say he is getting some from his gf?
He has lied before, and well now I just don't want him as a friend anyore either, cut him out of my life because he seems to always lie. Why did he lie?!

Because either he has some attraction towards you but doesn't know how to express his feelings or can't make an decision which is better for him like being single or being in a relationship , or he is just usual player who always flirts with girls... are you sure that he isn't like that to all people ... the flirt bit? like some guys are naturally friendly and touchy towards their friends? have you noticed any signs which signal to you that he might like you?

For example - eye contact ( not the usual friend contact but long period ) or blushing when you are around , stuttering, making excuses to talk to you or touch.

He could have been having issues with his girlfriend and wanted to get you more without putting you off by saying he has a interest in a girl.

I don't think there is reason why you should break friends even though he lied ... sometimes people just make mistakes... this is problem when you lie as you lie you have to lie to cover up that lie and then you lose trust in that person ... stupid really...you should give him a chance and ask him why he lied? ... you probably get some answers..if your relationship with him as friends is too much then just end it as there is plenty of people that need friends...

Recommended to take it slow, take time to get to know the person. Try to keep things clean, less baggage. Let years of perfect relationship before marriage (if you want you can always be engaged and married after years has passed). You can always accept the marriage ring and just marry when you have a few years of solid peace and love engagement/relationship. Make sure only settle for your soul mate with peace and keep in mind there are many soul mates. Arguing is normal but is it good? no, so make sure it is 7 years no arguments. After 7 solid years of perfect marriage then a child if desired.

If things are minor I usually just wouldn't even give it a second thought. If it is major I just fix it the best way and that's it. Maybe this will be a good method for you guys. Always reinforce it with Love

Also I see premarital counseling working.Church usually has it for free. You can even attend after marriage. Make sure no medicines.


On another note: Try your best. Love like you never love before. This is the best way for love to come and start surrounding your life. May love be around you, through you and is you.
