I'm a psychology major, should I minor in anthropology or criminal justice?

Which would be more helpful to get a job? I know I need to get a higher degree is psych if I want to get far, but just to start off with what's a good minor to complement a psych major?

Your minor really isn't going to make too much of a difference in the type of jobs you qualify for; however, some areas are nice to have a basic background. For example, if you want to work in Juvenile Corrections/Probation, having a minor in Criminal Justice could be beneficial. If you want to work as a Youth Counselor, having a minor in Human Services or Child and Family Studies could be beneficial. If you want to work in Retail Management, having a minor in Management or Marketing would be nice.

Honestly, if you want to find work that is directly related to your Field of Study and will provide you with a reasonably comfortable income before you go onto Graduate School, I strongly recommend majoring in Social Work, with a minor in Psychology. This will allow you to work as a Generalist Social Worker and provides enough background in Psychology so that you could go to Graduate School in Psychology if you wish to become a Licensed Psychologist some day. Or you could pursue your Master of Social Work Degree and become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. They don't get paid as much, but it still allow you to be a Therapist.

A psychology degree isn't employable and won't get you any jobs you couldn't have gotten with a HS diploma.

Don't major in psychology, anthropology, or criminal justice, they're all basically worthless degrees.
