what are some events/people to tag to help promote a photography company?
What are some events that I can go to for free or cheap in order to tag prople (After i become friends on facebook with them) so I can use the tag as a source of promoting the company. I have been getting ringside access to wrestling shows so I can watermark the pictures then tag the wrestlers. It is helping getting people to like the page and I wouldnt be surprised if 1 or 2, if not more, eventually ask me to photograph their wedding. I need other events because I am at the point that I think wrestling is hurting me now because it is starting to overtake my pictures. Enough to delete some. Nothing against wrestlers or people involved in the business but im looking at the bigger picture. I basically dont want be know for wrestling and dont want to scare anyone off because of wrestling. P.S. we dont know anyone else who we can ask to take pictures of, we already did some people. and no, i cant ask the wrestlers because at the shows, i dont talk to most of the wrestlers and the ones i do talk to, when the time is right, i could possibly ask if they want anything done with a spouse so it looks like we (my wife and I) do something besides wrestling. We do have pictures of a wedding, couples, family, and model/pose/by themselves. sidenote, please try to keep the answer in regards to facebook or some kind of site that i can easily tag someone and give my company info. I rather use facebook as our main focus to get the point across since it is what we are most comfortable with.
Also, please no craigslist to find people unless it is of legit events. we tried advertising through craigslist and all we got were stupid emails.

Part of your business plan should have included your target market(s) and demographics as well as marketing properly. Clearly you have not done this and you have now pigeonholed yourself.

A smart photographer/business person would have done all this and not have such a limited portfolio. Here's what you can do:

Advertise. Get a real web site if you don't have one already. None of that free Wix, Weebly, Webs, Shutterfly, Carbonmade crap either. Hire a designer and get it set up properly. On Facebook put out ads seeking those who might be interested in what you offer. Consider paying for sponsored posts to get more eyes on your ads. Reach out to your local newspaper and consider ads there as well.

At this point you are going to have to start putting out some funds and maybe even do a few free sessions to re-build your portfolio. Also, network with other photographers. Find out what events you can attend without going to any wrestling matches.

It is possible for you to change what is currently available on your portfolio but you will need to invest a lot time and some money in order to do this.
