How can I improve my concentration whilst studying?

I go to the library to try and get my assignments done..I just end up sitting on facebook, twitter and so on and don't get any work done.. any idea's on how I can stop procrastinating?

hmmm I have the same problem... I would say get in a quiet environment but if your in a library then that is quiet... All i can say is try harder & just really get your mind focused & tell yourself you can do it! & now that you mention twitter...... lol @jojo_cutiepye

I'd recommend reading books like Stella Cottrell. Also, use things like mind maps and posters, colourful things when revising, we remember things better with these and its easier for us to concentrate on because it feels less like we're forcing ourselves to work. I'd also recommend switching your internet off when you sit down to do work, otherwise the temptation is too great.
