I don't really belong here?
I'm 14, and I'm the type of girl who

- Reads fan fiction
- Cares about music more than anything (punk, hardcore, and metal bands)
- Loves reading
- Watches TV shows that nobody else really watches in my school (usually cop/doctor shows..)
- Loves watching movies (sometimes I watch foreign films with English subtitles)

And those are the things I love, and it's like I always want to talk about them but nobody I know likes any of that stuff so I usually stay in my room all day (after school&weekends) and do these things alone.
I feel like I don't belong, I have a lot of friends on twitter (I have two accounts, one for school, one for people like me) who are from all over the world and like the same things and we can talk about it together and its so much fun. But its not like we will ever meet.
What can I do? I seriously don't belong :\
Yeah, I do like FOB :3
I guess we do ahahahahha
everyone in my school judges my music and listens to pop, they all complain about reading, they all watch jersey shore and degrassi and they think im weird for reading fan fic
peter and patrick *-*

Can we be friends? I do all of those things... Do you like Fall Out Boy? Music is my LIFE. Trust me you are not the only one in this world that does these thing! You are who you are and people respect that.
EDIT- Smile Cool! We must have a lot in common! I read Peterick fan fictions.... Smile
EDIT- Pop music sucks, it is all the same. I know how you feel. I am the only FOB fan in my whole school. They all like that Nicki Minaj crap. Be who you are and that is all. Smile

Half the people in this section and in real life that I know are just like that. If you look around you will see you are not as different as you seem.

Sounds like someone like me. I suggest you to get a tumblr - there's a lot of people who have the same interests as you. Tumblr is basically for people like us! Big Grin

Tumblr is great for:
- People that are seriously into fandoms (HP. THG. LT. etc.)
- People who loves good music (all genre, except your average crappy pop songs).
- Loves reading and drawing
- Watches TV shows like Doctor Who, PLL, CSI, Vampire Diaries, Glee, etc.
- People who likes unique movies
- People who are forever alone

Basically tumblr is divided into 2 - people who like stuff listed above, and the annoying hipsters.
Try it out, you'll see how much you're going to love it Smile I felt like I finally found a place where I belong.

I think a lot of people like this end up turning to Y!A which is why there are so many people like you here. I'm similar, I love to read and watch movies and TV shows that other people don't. I listen to different music than my friends. I know how you feel. Before, I used to pity myself i thinking that I had no friends who I could share my real interests with. But that just makes you a little different from the group. You don't have to completely like someone to get along. Just make the best of the people you do have, and watch, once you get to college and are exposed to many different you'll meet tons of people who share your interests.
