Facebook and Twitter not working with mobile number?

I'll try to explain my problem the best I can, I really hope someone can help me as I'm thoroughly confused.

Once upon a time, I had my Facebook, Twitter, even Yahoo Messenger set up to work with my phone number. I received updates from select people on Facebook and Twitter, and for Yahoo Messenger, when I was offline, I was "mobile". It's been this way for years with no hiccups, even when switching from a contract phone to a GoPhone (and keeping the same number). Not a problem. I'd say a week ago or so, I suddenly stopped getting updates. I received an email from Facebook saying my phone number had been removed from text updates.I tested and I could make/receive phone calls and text messages to other people - but not to these services. So, I thought maybe something was wonky with my GoPhone account and once I refilled it, it would fix itself. Well, I refilled it earlier this morning and still nothing. I've tried to reconnect Facebook and keep getting emails telling me "A mobile phone number has been removed from your profile." each time I try to text for the code. I don't think it's Facebook, as I'm having problems with Twitter and Yahoo as well.

Does anyone know what the problem is? Has AT&T GoPhone discontinued allowing these types of services or something? My plan is 250 minutes & Unlimited texting. If I get no answers here, I'll call customer services later and if it's fixed, I'll edit with the solution in case someone else has this problem in the future. Please help!
