How can I get Google to delete a Image from their search?
Some random website had my old pictures from Twitter and I emailed the webmaster to delete them and they did but on google image search, their still there. When I follow what google says to do and click on Full Image to get the URL, it won't let me because it automatically takes me to the website. WHAT DO I DO?
NO THEY WERE NOT DIRTY PICTURES! I just feel weird knowing that by searching my old username you can see old photos of me. Ads |

What do you do?
Learn a fundamental lesson of the internets: 1a) When you put something on the internet, its there to stay, or 1b) The internet never forgets depending on how you want to look at it. Next time you'll think twice before thinking the internet is a dumping ground for images of your superficial, vapid life. |

Unless the photo is illegal or violates some google policy just wait a while, google will soon update their search cache and the results will go away. This can take up to a month but is normally faster than that.
Alternatively the owner of the site can go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/ and request they re-index the site. Of course there is a chance that the images will still be in some web archive or other somewhere, once something is publicly accessible on the internet it's virtually impossible to be sure it's completely removed. |
