Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter are not blogging websites. They allow you to share certain things, but that's not the same thing as having a blog. They're more for social interaction than they are for blogging.
Personally I've always used Blogspot and have never had any complaints. It's owned by Google, and you can use it with your Google account if you have one. The site is http://www.blogspot.com/ |

Facebook, Myspace and Twitter are not blogging websites. (Actually they are but not the way you think it is)
Facebook and Myspace is a social network web site and Twitter is a blog where you write what are you doing at the moment with 140 characters. I love Tumblr and it's the best one I have seen so far. |

Reading through the other answers I have came to the conclusion many people are misguided about blogs and blogging. If you want to actually create positive results from blogging you should really read up on, "Blog Checklist - Step By Step Guide." You can find it here, http://www.squidoo.com/blog-checklist-st...s-blogging
Hands down the best place to start a blog is a self hosted blog via wordpress.org Anything else is a waste of your valuable time. Good luck on getting on the right track. The first step is having the interest, you got that down! If you ever need one on one help with anything let me know. http://prestonschumacher.com |
