Facebook Android app problems?

I have a problem with the Facebook app on my Android phone, I had this a while back but it seemed to sort itself out after a month or so. I load up the app, connected to WiFi or 3G and it does nothing but give me the loading screen before eventually timing out and saying connection lost. I can't view anything on Facebook at all, I've tried uninstalling the updates and reinstalling / force close and restarting phone, but nothing has worked.

If anyone can tell me why this has happened and how I can fix it, I would be very greatful. Also, the phone is Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro.

Hi,
Please access the Android™ market to see if there aren't any updates available for the application. I'd also suggest you try the following: Please log into the Facebook application using the Correct user name but an Incorrect password (This will then generate the error “Unable to complete login”).
Then repeat the login with the Correct username and Correct password, this should allow access to the application.
