What does this quote mean to you?
"There is no easy way from the earth to the stars"

Would it be a good tattoo idea?

or does "A rough road leads to the stars" sound better for someone who has been through a rough road

I don't really understand the first one... But the second one is great!

"A rough road leads to the stars" is definitely the best choice for a tattoo. You don't want to have to stop & give an oral definition on the first one. It makes more sense & it's shorter too!

That's a lot of words for a tattoo. What's wrong with a picture? Anyway, my stance is body art is against what God wants. But if you really want to, go on ahead. That (first) quote doesn't mean anything to me right now. Quotes are fads to me, they are interesting for a while, then you get interested in a new one. Are you going to remove tats and replace everytime you want a new word on your body? Just have a facebook or twitter page or a journal and write your fav quotes somewhere. Yahoo answers is a fine and dandy place. Peace. "A rough road leads to the stars", makes a little sense.. to me, that one means we are all going to die soon at some point and relates to a tv I heard it say the same thing in our bodies is also in the stars. A rough road to the stars seems like a better tattoo'd phrase than the first one you gave... but it's your choice, think twice about it before you get it done, please.

I like the first one, it sounds more mature. The second one doesnt please me as much. But which ever one you think explains you best.
