Why am I so upset over someone I've never met?

I have a twitter addiction. And recently, a person who ive been talking to for a while, said I've been scaring her because she felt I was too attached.. I feel pathetic cos I'm upset that she said that, and I can't sleep.
It's stupid!! Why do I feel like this? And how do I stop feeling like this?

You need to cop on and stop wasting your life. Identify what it is that you're trying to avoid or put off, deal with it, and go forth in peace.
