I need your opinion on interent censorship?

1. Do you think internet censorship should exist and why?
2. What are some of the things that should be censored on the internet?
3. In China, they have highly enforced Internet censorship. Thats means no Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and they have screen shots taken like every 5 minutes from their computers. They also have to give up their personal information to use the internet. How would you feel to be under such rules? Would you be able to live with it or not?

3. China is a communist country and afraid of the internet. IF people get educated they may overthrow the govt.

My personal opinion, take it for what it's worth. Also, I have a feeling you need this for homework, but I will show you my opinion anyway

1.)NO, it's a straight up denial of free speech. Not only that , but it weakens the infrastructure of the internet, it grants more power to single individuals and groups rather than everyone. You always have the worry of piracy, but convenient services like itunes and steam eliminate much of the hassle of paying for software, and makes buying software a much more streamlined process.

2.)NOTHING, the internet exists as the knowledge database of the world. Censorship is used by corrupt groups and governments to control and dumb down their people by preventing basic access to information.

3.) I would feel oppressed and violated. I would be able to survive as a human being, but I would feel incredibly controlled and unhappy. Any country that uses this degree of control is more a prison than a country.

And with that, where's my best answer?
