OK, I know that when you go to your home page and type into the "What's happening?" bar, that's your tweet, and everybody who's following you will see it. Unlike Facebook, you can't control who follows you, and you can tweet only 140 characters at a time. Also unlike Facebook, you can't just add a photo, you can only paste a link to the photo.

My questions are these:

1) When you look at your timeline, what do you call the name in grey next to your username in bold black?

2) I'm an ESL teacher, and my student asked me this question: "Do you have to change the title of your Twitter message everyday or does it stay the same until you change it?" What did she mean?

Just incase you didnt know you can control who see's your tweets by protecting them. you can do this in the settings and you will have to accept a follow request before someone can see your tweets. the only down side is you cannot be retweeted.
Also you can attach a photo to your tweet by clicking on the camera icon under the box in which you write your tweet. this means you dont have to paste a link.
1) Its just your real name, doesnt have any special name or anything (not that i know of anyway)
2) Not too sure what she means but she could mean Do you have to change your tweet everyday or does it stay the same till you change it? If that is what she meant then no, whatever you last tweeted/retweeted will stay as your most recent tweet untill you change it no matter how long it is there for unlike facebook where it clears it after a few weeks. (hopefully that makes sense )

Hmm, you kind-of can control who follows you! In the sense that there is a way to change it for each follower: you can BLOCK each account one by one.

Here's how:

1. log in, click on your followers and you'll see a long list. as you scroll, you'll see more. you can see all if you be patient and keep scrolling.

2. scroll until you find one you DON'T want and click the gray button to the right of their Follow button, and roll to BLOCK and click here


Timeline:

You call that your name! The name in grey text to your user name is whatever you enter as you real name or if you choose an account name instead, what you put instead as your name. Go to Profile, then click edit your profile, then look for what you put for your name! You can change this whenever you want to.

Title?
------
Your student might mean the last Tweet - as in the most recent Tweet entered or Retweeted. If so, no you don't have to change it everyday and yes it does stay the same until you either enter another Tweet or click to Retweet
