What is the point of Tumblr?

I have a facebook, twitter and instagram. I'm looking for a new site to waste my life on haha and everyone seems to love Tumblr.

I've tried to make one, but I just don't fully understand it. What is the point of it, what do you do on there? Is it weird to ask, "how" you use it? xD

I feel like having one would be an excellent way to fuel my obsession with Freddie Mercury/Queen/Classic rock. (x

Tumblr is essentially a free blogging website. So anything you would put in a blog (text, video, pictures, audio, etc.) goes in a tumblr account.

Ugh if you make a hipster blog I swear. Just stop it. It won't be fun if you don't have fandoms, and you won't understand half of the things on there.
