My best friend is becoming fake and full of herself?

Hi my best friend I feel that she is becoming extremely two faced and fake we've been friends since 7th grade and Ive had her back through everything defended her when it came down to it and I even lost some friends in the long run for remaining so loyal to her and I feel she isn't returning her fair share as a "friend" im not saying she owes me anything but its just the principle of the whole situation anyway this year we hung out all summer and did basically everything together until school started she started hanging out with new people im not saying that she can't have any other friends because, that's just ridiculous but her new friends are in fact just loud obnoxious and ghetto always getting into trouble and behaving reckless ive just noticed such a dramatic change in her attitude this year shes just obsessed with becoming popular its pretty sad shes nice to all of these people but she talks so much behind their backs she treats me like i don't even exist if im walking down the hall and I see her she'll pretend to not even notice me to be with her new group of "friends" she always tries to belittle me in front of them and even my own friends saying how i copy her "style" and I want to be her and how im not as popular as she is she always tries to insult me by saying she has more followers on twitter than me and she has more followers on instagram she even unfollowed me on both social networks ha honestly the only time she ever talks to me is in the two classes we have together cause im her only friend in there or if she needs/wants something shes just become such a narcissistic vain person and kind of a whore shes always talking about how this year all these guys want her and how she just wants to use them for sex and in front of others shes always like haha you cant get any guys no guys want you im not ugly im actually very pretty not to sound vain but I rather focus on school than relationships because highschool relationships in my opinion are just a waste of time and heartaches shes been failing practically all her classes her gpa is like a 1.6 or something im getting a car soon and now she says were gonna go everywhere soon like no im not gonna let you use me for rides.....the other day in the morning at school she came to my locker and started walking with me and I said "Oh wow youre actually talking to me in school for once are your other friends not here?" she said ok bye and walked away sorry for ranting and venting on but I need an outside opinion do you think I should even continue to pursue this friendship?

Definatly not. This girls a real b1tch. I would end it with her. Go find a friend that's more with your time, it may be hard at first but you won't regret it. You don't need this dumb b1tch in your life!!
