is yahoo email really down for maintenance all day today?

when i log in it says it is down for maintenence. Is that true or have i got a hacking problem or virus?

No it's not, I just went on it a few minutes ago and it is working perfectly fine. If you are logged onto Yahoo! Answers, then you are most likely logged onto your email. You may have a hacked account but a virus is very unlikely to cause this sort of thing. I recommend you try logging into any Facebook accounts, Twitter accounts, or any other emails you may have to see if the problem is persistent in your computer/internet or if it is just your email.

I get the same message and I'm desperate to get my mail. What can I do?

This maintenance message is affecting many of us yet again. There is no warning that it was happening and the number of times it has I suspect it's another glitch.
