How does bad credit affect your ability to secure a new job?
Will filing BK also hurt any effort to get a job offer? Do all States allow employers to run credit reports when looking to hire new employees? Any additional info on this topic would be great.

No all states allow it but not that many employers use credit reports. Because you are asking this it is doubtful you are in a field where your scores matters

Bad credit don't affect some jobs, but if you are going to be handling money, most will and the bad credit could keep you from getting the job. Also be honest because in today's economy and with so many layoffs, many people are having trouble with credit.

actually with the current job market you can easily expect your potential employers to check your credit score, your facebook acct, and twitter. this gives them a better picture of the real YOU
