Trying to file for sole custody before other parent does?

I heard from my ex bf friends he and his gf wanted to take me to court and file custody for our daughter. Ive never met his gf yet but I knw she has a lot of bad things to say about me. Before she came into the picture me and him were civil about our daughter. But hes always been an ass to me. Well I have my own place and I just lost my job I have to go on welfare for awhile untill I can find another to support me and my bby mind u ive been wrking since she was a bby 4 yrs straight while he hasnt and hes lazy. Anyways when I heard and I have proof via Facebook twitter that they both want to file and his gf is pushing him to do it I went and filed myself and told him hes not seeing his daughter untill we go to court. Child support case is open and I told them that hes only seen her once every mnth. But he acts like he always wants to see her. I hate them both and I wanna go to court before he beats me to it. Do u think I hav a good chance on getting sole custody

Given the way both of you behave, I think there is a good chance you will both loose custody and your daughter will become a ward of the court. I suggest you clean up your act, get a job, and show that you are a good parent. Its not about who does what first or what people say on Facebook. Its about the welfare of another human being.
