Can you make up your own hashtags?
Like if u went to the mall with ur friends you could post on twitter or facebook etc. something like #malltime or #<3myfriends or whatever? Those were pretty stupid, haha but am I on the right track? Can I make up my own?

You can hashtag anything. Make your own! They might become useful to people that haven't thought of it. Smile but if you hashtag something on Instagram, don't put anything like symbols after the hashtag, because they won't show up.
