How much time do you ACTUALLY spend in your small direct-selling business?
to make money? They say it's just 4 hours a week (for the average party) but how much time do you spend on other things, Such as making phone calls, mailing out orders and marketing your business? I'm talking about anyone who works for companies such as tupperware, mary kay, pure romance, avon, pampered chef, for your pleasure, or any similar company

I can say you can spend 6-10 hours a week, you can think of it as a part time job. If I can work Avon while going to college full time and having three children than anyone can.

I have been with Avon for 3 years now and have a team of 100. I have worked very hard to make my team that big, it's no easy task. I, like an a CEO, have to train and develop those new team members so that they also become successful. In order for a true leader to become successful and earn the most money they have to help their team members become successful and earn money as well. I actually love this type of networking because it allows everyone to become successful. Unlike other business Avon has a very low start up cost, $20.00. Most women are willing to invest the money just to find out if it works and if it doesn't happen to work out it's fine because you did not invest much money into the company.

I hope that answered your questions and if you happen to have any further questions regarding Avon please feel free to contact me directly.

I can tell you this as an Avon Rep of 6 years the more time you spend the more money you make. It's that simple. If you spend 5 days a week 40 hours like a regular job you will make money like a regular job.

Or you can choose to work less hours and make less which is perfectly fine.

I do about 10 hours or less a week I enjoy the fact I can work at a slow pace. I except that my growth is slower verses someone putting in more hours but my business grows whether slow or fast in the end I get what I want Smile

Good Luck

That depends on the person and the company. If you do a business like Pampered Chef, then you don't spend time mailing orders or delivering. I would say that with my business I work it about 8 hours per week...that's for the actual show, any phone calls, updating my social media, etc. I make an average of $100 per show. So depending on how many I do per week determines what I bring home. My director once told me to "work smarter, not harder." So if I am booking shows at my shows then I am not spending a large amount of time making calls, etc to fill my calendar. Does that make sense? I hope this helps. If not, you can ask any other question, and I will try and helpSmile

This is ha answer because I feel like to be successful in a business like this, you must work it 24/7. I am always updating websites, Facebook pages, placing ads, orders, calling/emailing, talking to cashiers at the grocery store, other moms, etc... Be sure you sell what you love. If candles aren't your passion, then don't join Party Lite. If you love make-up, go with Avon. I just happened to love romance and decided Party Gals was the perfect fit for me. You may also want to compare commission structures. Work smarter, not harder. Why join a company who starts you at 20-30% when you can earn 50% of your sales right off the bat! Party Gals offers you this 50% discount the day you buy your kit!
It's great for stay at home Moms, like me, who can work during the day while the kids are off at school (or taking naps) to do what I need to do on the computer. I love what I do and that is what is most important! Good luck and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Thanks for reading!

Ideally one should spend 4 hours in a week, but people do spend lots of time in other small activities which are less important.
