How to block Twitter profile getting listed Google and Twitter Search, without making making it private?

I want to block my twitter profile from getting crawled by search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing and Twitter Search, if possible. Is there any way that can be done? I do not want to make my profile "private". The blocking of my profile should be for a public profile.

Never seen a Twitter profile in Google Search. Twitter is simply a social messaging facility whereas MySpace and facebook etc. are full social networking sites

If you dont give full name in google profile, it might index it but will show in profile searches.Other thing you can try is use the encoded link for eg.

http://www.google.com/profiles/106078831414143199540

instead of having your name after profie/ that makes it tough to get in searched results.
