Does the UFC making matches like Bones vs Sonnen and GSP make you angry?

Surely the next in line for GSP would be Hendricks or Mcdonald. Yes it will be great to see Diaz get a beating but it is stupid and a money grab. Chael Sonnen getting another title shot? The bloke is funny and great with his words but this is also a poor booking decision. Obviously Rashad Evans (only one to take bones to a decision) or Dan Henderson would be more deserving. Anyways i hope Chael wins because Bones is too cocky for my liking.

Money is the name of the game, and Chael's persona (love it or hate it) sells.
I agree that Henderson is much more deserving, and would make for a much more interesting fight.

You can take the above statement and substitute Diaz for Chael and Hendricks for Henderson. The situation is exactly the same. It's all about the almighty dollar.

Diaz is getting the title shot because GSP asked for the fight and the UFC wants to keep their champion and biggest PPV draw happy. Hendricks was likely going to get the shot until GSP requested to fight Diaz he wants it badly and the UFC wasn't going to tell him no.

As for Chael he isn't deserving but it was a matter of marketing and timing and Chael is a master of that here's why he's getting the shot.

-Machida was in line but he won't be getting it now because they wanted him to step in on a weeks notice and fill in for Dan Henderson. Machida said no he was heading back to Brazil and had no time to train and prepare for Jones, thus the UFC is mad at him and took his shot away he was supposed to get for beating Bader.

-Hendo lost his shot because the UFC is upset with him for not telling them about his injury sooner. They believe he was hurt for a few weeks and waited until the week of the fight to withdraw due to his knee. So it made sense to put the 2 guys they are unhappy with against each other (Hendo and Machida)

-Rashad hasn't fought since losing to Jones you can't throw him into an automatic rematch

-The Sonnen fight is marketable, when Hendo got injured Chael wanted the fight he was on the UFC news sites, he was on twitter, he took it everywhere trying to get the fight and badmouthing Jones, he got under Jones' skin and now it's a very marketable fight because of the dislike between them.

-Chael is easy to market he promotes himself Tito and people are interested to see him fight so he gets the shot.

End of the day though Sonnen doesn't have the skills to win the fight he has never won a fight in the UFC at light heavyweight and Jones is just to good, Sonnen will get submitted.

I wouldn't say "angry" but I'd rather see true contenders fighter for the titles rather than who can simply sell the most tickets. However, the UFC IS a business, and selling tickets is how they make their money, so it's unsurprising to see guys who haven't earned their shots by winning the right matches, but who can talk themselves up, get shots.
