New to twitter and need help?

When do I use #hashtags and when do I use the @ symbol? I'm confused. (Also, I'm pretty funnybif you want to follow me. My username is. MyKFCRules).

a hashtag is when you want to see what other people think. so, for example, if you typed in #winter, you would see all of the other posts by everyone on twitter who also used this hashtag, and what they think, what their opinion is, etc. you use the @ symbol when you are looking for someone's twitter username. so, your's would be @MyKFCRules.
