How to know if an older girl in college is interested?

I meet her in a rather unconventional way and we both love the same types of music which started it all. I met her once at a library we both study at. Shes 24 and im 20 but the subject of age never came up and she knows im in undergrad. I think shes awesome and we have been talking non stop for the last week on twitter private messaging because i'm too shy to ask for her number so early. Usually we talk about alot of stuff but we do get some moments here and there where there's nothing left to say. Shes in law school and im in pre med applying within the next year and a half to medical school. I'm just wondering if shes interested or she sees it as friendship because of my age because I wouldn't want to get caught up in nothing if its just friendship to her.
