Why do Canadians think they are bmore friendly than Americans?
First of all, i am not an American.

I am from Eastern Europe.

I have lived in Canada for 4 years and I have been witness many times Canadian claiming they were much mroe friendly than Americans.

Well first of all, Americans i met in America were very friendly, social and easy-going. Canadians were cold , too individual, boring and ignorant. You could barely have a conversation going with a Canadian.

So, why do Canadians claim they are more friendly than Americans? I think it is just a marketing tool for them to promote Canada.

I dunno. People in America are always talking about wanting to move to Canada because they hate our government or whatever.. I don't think they have a solid knowledge of what Canada is like, and only assume it's a pleasant place to live. Which, it probably may be in some areas, but there are jerks and morons in every country, no matter which one you move to.

Honestly, i think everything you said is just wrong.

Canadians shouldn't say they are friendlier. And you shouldn't say Americans are.

Unless you've talked and surveyed ALL of us, you don't get to talk who's friendlier.

I love europe. btw

And Canadians think that because is true. I recently moved to canada and I absolutely love it here. The atmosphere is fantastic. The people are lovely. I haven't experienced any racism here.

I didn't think the Canadians said that about themselves. I thought others said it about them, this could be a bias because the Canadians stuck with us (Britain). I've noticed a lot of people from Poland, seems to like America. If they do say it about themselves, then yes I would agree it's probably a marketing tool.
