Racism… Discrimination… Human rights?????

I live in Montreal Canada in the province of Quebec and I have to say I’m fed up with this province and its racist politicians. Here in Quebec we have a thing called The Language Police, yes ladies and gentlemen the fu*kin’ language police (Gestapo?). These people go around making sure there isn’t too much English being used, oh and, Montreal is supposedly a bilingual city with English and French as both official languages! In some cases you can even lose your job for speaking English or using English software on your work computer.

Now the politicians are trying to find a legal means in which they can take away our God given right to purse an education in the language of our chose. They want to basically make it illegal to go to English school making French the only language spoken and used! I can’t tell how much this makes my blood boil!!! And what pisses me off even more is that people are just letting this happen.

In Quebec and Montreal, English is considered blaspheme and I can’t stand for it anymore. I would like to start an uprising of some sort, but don’t know how to begin and if I do I’m not sure if anyone will follow me… Montreal is full of pacifists. People here are just not willing to fight for their freedom.

So, tell me what you think… is this racism, discrimination and a violation of human rights, our right to chose what language to speak or am I over exaggerating.

If you think I’m right then please spread the word about Montreal and Quebec here in Canada and warn people of the racism towards English speaking people. Tell them to avoid this province at all cost and to stay away. Spread this news to everyone you know, spread this news by any means possible by mouth, internet, facebook, twitter ect… Tell people to tell everyone they know about this, I want the whole world to know about the fascist scum that’s governing this place, I want the world to know the true colors of this province. These scums are even bidding for a 2022 winter Olympics, a place that considers any other language other than French crap... Can you believe that?!

I am extremely embarrassed even to be part Quebec. In a world that is trying to diversify itself and move towards the future, this place seems to be degrading more and more as the years go by.
RE: How would you like it if someone tells you you aren't allowed to speak the language of your chose (being that English is an official language of Quebec) and that you had no decision on what language your children are educated in (even though English is an official language of this province and French classes are given in English schools)?
Believe it or not RE, the Quebecois think of themselves as a superior race and the English as the inferior race.
RE: What exactly do you mean “not Canadian”? I am trilingual and a person that understands that the more languages you know the more of an asset you are to society. This was not an attack on the French language, being that I love the French language, this is stand for freedom of choice, a freedom that Anglophones are losing.

As for my “vitriol spewing”, I find it hard to show love for someone who hates me and considers me nothing more than a bowel movement. My words of hate pale in comparison to the words and phrases spoken by the separatists such as “crackdown on English.”

And, as for the language immersion you speak of, the hard line separatist aren’t aiming for immersion, but rather to make Quebecois the one and only language spoken, which now a days is a degeneration… When will they learn that diversity is the key to success?

Racism? Is language a race? Although I would certainly defend your right to "purse an education in the language of our chose" (whatever language that may be), I do believe you are overexaggerating. And the fact that you write 'colors' rather than 'colours' makes me wonder if you are originally Canadian yourself. In any case, I must say that the vitriol you spew suggests that French Canadians may indeed need to work to defend their language in the face of such attitudes as yours. In short, you have shot yourself in the foot and single-handedly convinced me that you are wrong.

I would have loved for my children to have the opportunity to be immersed in another language at an age when they could have absorbed it more easily. I still think you are not Canadian, which makes it rather odd for you to be so bitterly criticizing the ways of your host country.

The Francophones and the Anglophones are not two different races, but you certainly sound as though you think you are superior to them.

You are exaggerating. The official language of Quebec Province is french.
If you don't like it, move to an english province.
You cannot tell me what to do in my home.
