Those of you that use tumblr?

I just made one yesterday and I'm really confused on how it works.
What's the difference between typing something under "info" (after you hit customize) and typing something under "text" from your dashboard?
How do you put tabs under your picture?
Like this one for example.. how they have "Haters you can go kill yourself" and "Twitter" and stuff.
How do you know who's following you?
How do you get your picture on the left instead of the right?

I'm so confused. Lol.
Can you help me out/tell me the basics?

Typing under "info" in customize and everything IN customize means typing for your profile, much like a biography.

Typing under text and everything else in the dashboard bar(photo, audio etc) = Updating the blog.

I don't really know what you mean by "tabs"... I assume you mean tumblr profile links.
In Customize:
1. Under Info - Title will be your tumblr header name. Mine is "Mia's Cluttered Mind"

2 Under Info > Description - is your biography/profile, some people write random quotes. I wrote "This isn't a blog, this is a pic spam"...You can also put html widgets here like counters etc.

3. Under Appearance - some themes let you put custom links or twitter. You can also change colours etc.

4. Under Community - If you activate the ask box and reply box, you can let people send you messages.

5. Under Pages - You can create new pages for links or biography but no, you can update the pages as blogs. They are just for extra biography...etc.

To know who is following you, go to your dashboard. On the right bar you should see [(number) followers ] or direct link:http://www.tumblr.com/followers
